More to come
There’ll be more from the Amex to come.
But we’re now looking ahead to Liverpool vs Aston Villa, which starts just shortly!
Here’s the team news:
Liverpool XI: Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Jones, Diaz; Nunez
Aston Villa XI: Martinez; Konsa, Carlos, Pau, Digne; Bailey, Onana, Tielemans, Ramsey, Rogers; Watkins
What it means
It makes the top of the table a bit interesting.
Liverpool can go five points clear at the top if they win at 8pm.
And the result will be felt in Nottingham too, with Nottingham Forest given the chance to move one point behind with a win tomorrow.
Yeah, I know.
Full time from Jordan Davies at the Amex
Pep Guardiola has lost four games on the spin. Make it make sense.
But you have to say, it was coming. Manchester City were so lethargic, expecting to come here and hold on to a 1-0 lead comfortably.
Instead, they were outworked and outsmarted by a Brighton team who smelled a chance and sunk their teeth into a worryingly vulnerable City side.
Mikel Arteta was right when he said on Friday: This title race is wide open.
