Building or upgrading a high-end or gaming PC can be daunting, and choosing the right graphics card to live at the heart of it is so important that you want to make a considered decision. That’s where we can help.
The latest GPUs are complex, powerful beasts that can drive the best games and perform many other tasks for now and in the future, and de-mystifying the process is half the battle. Thankfully, that’s where a card like the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Super comes in.
It sports all of the technologies you need to hit extreme levels of graphical performance, whether you are locked in a Call of Duty session or editing 4K video. It covers all bases.
Here then are five reasons this card could super-power your next PC build.

4th Generation Tensor Cores
Adopting NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture, the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Super card features the brand’s 4th Generation Tensor Cores, which can process high-end technologies, such as AI, at previously unimaginable speeds.
This is vital for the operation of the likes of NVIDIA’s DLSS tech, which uses artificial intelligence to provide higher frame rates without sacrificing resolution. The card also supports DLSS 3 – the newest version of the platform that can be even more transformative for gaming.
DLSS 3
DLSS 3 uses AI to run supported games better than ever before. It combines a few technologies to increase the frame rate during play, while maintain high resolutions and image retention – including in-picture ray tracing.
The DLSS frame generation tech intelligently assesses each frame in real-time and creates new, accurate ones in-between – therefore greatly improving the frame rate without developers needing to use the GPU’s power to do so manually. This is combined with the AI-powered super resolution tech to ensure images remain crisp and detailed, even with ray tracing enabled.
To put it simply, with DLSS 3 activated, games like Cyberpunk 2077, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and the forthcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will look and run noticeably better than if you’re relying on just brute force graphics rendering – up to four times the performance, in fact.

Ray tracing
Since introducing it to graphics cards, ray tracing has transformed gaming. Supported games look measurably better thanks to the realistic lighting effects afforded by the technology.
Ray tracing allows developers to use lighting that acts as it does in the real world – light beams bounce off surfaces more accurately, objects gain colour tints depending on the hue of the light hitting it. Not all games support it as yet, but those that do really stand out.
And that’s where the RTX 4070 Super’s 3rd Gen RT Cores come in. They are dedicated to ray tracing and provide up to two times the performance for RT processing.
NVIDIA Reflex
Another vital technology to mention is NVIDIA Relex. Contained within DLSS 3, it is a technology that ensures gamers get the lowest latency possible when playing titles that demand it. For example, when playing a competitive game, such as Apex Legends or Fortnite, it can prove the difference between life and death.
When enabled, it allows for much faster response times, allowing the player to get a split second advantage over an opponent. It is also key to ensure that the frame generation skills of DLSS have no impact on latency.

Next-gen heat dissipation
With all of the processing power needed to run the high-end features, there’s no doubt that such a capable graphics card could generate a decent amount of heat. But that’s where the
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Super’s Windforce cooling system comes in.
It is made up of three 90mm blade fans that spin in alternate directions, plus eight composite copper heat pipes, and a copper plate that directly touches the GPU to ensure heat dissipation is at its best.
In addition, each fan uses graphene nano lubricant on its bearings. This not only provides smoother, quieter operation, but extends the lifespan of each fan by 2.1 times.
This is the icing on the cake of a truly “super” graphics card that will elevate any PC gaming setup to another level. After all, when looking for a new GPU, you need to be sure it’ll not only make today’s games look and play better, but future titles too.
And that’s not all, the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Super also greatly enhances the experience for content creators, with its power and capabilities built to optimise live streaming and audio/video production, too.
Plus, all these features are supported by other cards in the Gigabyte lineup. There’s a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super model, plus a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4080 Ti Super step-up version. These are at the very pinnacle of cards today and would also make for excellent choices to be at the beating core of an ultimate PC gaming rig.
So, whatever your budget, there’s a super-powered GPU waiting for you.
