In Gouda, a Moroccan teahouse was the site of an explosive attack during the early hours between Wednesday and Thursday.

This followed an act of vandalism at the same establishment on Aaltje Bakstraat the previous night when the venue had its window shattered by a stone, followed by an explosion.

The aftermath of the latest incident left the street in front of the teahouse covered in glass shards on Thursday morning, and the blinds covering the large window were also damaged.

Authorities reported the explosion at around 4:00 AM. The night before, around 2:45 AM, the teahouse’s front window was broken by a stone, and shortly after, fireworks were ignited and thrown inside, causing further damage.

The motive behind these attacks remains unclear, however, police have begun an investigation to uncover the cause and apprehend those responsible.
