The Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied giving the status of a“legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people” to the office of the “Republic of Tindouf” in Geneva.
The Ministry confirmed, in a verbal note addressed to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco inBern, that “the Polisario Front office in Geneva does not enjoy any privilege or immunity in Switzerland,” calling on it to “avoid using names and titles that suggest the belief that the matter is related to an official representation of the Polisario.”
This comes after a member of the office tried to pass himself as an official ambassador in Geneva.
