Lebanese human rights lawyer Amal Clooney said on Monday that she was among the experts who helped weigh the evidence that led to the International Criminal Court seeking arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders.
The lawyer previously came under fire for her silence on Israel’s offensive in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The criticism arose from Clooney’s previous defense of Ukraine at the United Nations, and her advocacy for justice regarding war crimes committed in Europe, while maintaining an unusual “radio-silence” about what has been happening in Palestine over the last seven months.
