Outgoing boss Jurgen Klopp is currently preparing to take charge of his final game of a trophy-laden spell at Anfield with Wolverhampton Wanderers the visitors to Merseyside on Sunday afternoon.
However, it has been an open secret for a number of weeks that Slot has emerged as the preferred candidate to replace the German in the Liverpool dugout.
Despite Slot’s previous comments regarding a potential switch to the Premier League giants, no official announcement has been forthcoming from Liverpool.
Nevertheless, on Friday afternoon, the 45-year-old announced that he had agreed terms to become Klopp’s replacement.
