West Ham United, Everton ‘interested in six-goal Danish winger’

West Ham United and Everton are reportedly considering moves for Hoffenheim’s Jacob Bruun Larsen, who has spent the 2023-24 term on loan at Burnley in the Premier League.

West Ham United and Everton are reportedly interested in the signing of Hoffenheim‘s Jacob Bruun Larsen during this summer’s transfer window.

The Dane has spent the 2023-24 term on loan at Premier League strugglers Burnley, whose relegation back down to the Championship was confirmed following a 2-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend.

Despite the overall disappointment for the Clarets in North London, Bruun Larsen’s opener in the 25th minute was the latest positive moment in a productive term for the attacker.

Having now found the net on six occasions in the Premier League this campaign, the 25-year-old leads Burnley’s Golden Boot race ahead of Lyle Foster (5) and Zeki Amdouni (5).

Across all competitions during the 2023-24 season, Bruun Larsen has played 35 matches for Vincent Kompany‘s troops, making the net ripple seven times.

West Ham, Everton ‘keen on Burnley loanee Bruun Larsen’

According to Danish outlet Bold, Bruun Larsen could be set to remain in the Premier League next season despite Burnley’s relegation to the Championship.

The report claims that top-flight duo West Ham and Everton are keen on securing the services of the Denmark international during the upcoming summer transfer window.

With the futures of Mohammed Kudus and Manchester City-linked Lucas Paqueta unclear, the Hammers are looking to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of next season.

Bruun Larsen’s contract at Hoffenheim expires during the summer of 2025, meaning that any potential suitors will have to pay a fee for the winger’s services this summer.

It is understood that there have been no clear offers from Everton or West Ham for the player to date, however interest from both parties is expected to become ‘more and more concrete’ as time passes.

Euro dreams and Championship reality

Since the start of March, Bruun Larsen has scored four goals in the Premier League for Burnley, increasing his chances of selection in Denmark’s European Championship plans.

The 25-year-old was not included in his nation’s squad for the March internationals, however manager Kasper Hjulmand has left the door open for the attacker’s return to the fold.

Focusing on the present, Bruun Larsen is experiencing the cruelty of a Premier League relegation at Burnley, who want to retain his services ahead of the 2024-25 term.

Nurturing ambitions of becoming a regular on the international stage – coupled with interest from Everton and West Ham – it is questionable whether the Hoffenheim man would settle for Championship football next season.
