The UK foreign office warned British tourists planning trips to Morocco and Egypt to be aware of recent updates from the Foreign Office (FCDO) due to a rapidly changing global situation.
This follows a military strike by Iran against Israel on April 13, 2024.
There is an increased chance of protests and demonstrations throughout Morocco. The FCDO advises travelers to avoid these gatherings and be prepared for the possibility of spontaneous outbreaks. Protests can disrupt travel in affected areas, said the office.
The FCDO advises against all travel within 20 kilometers of the Egypt-Libya border for those visiting Egypt. The only exception is the town of El Salloum, where only essential travel is recommended.
