A Colorado family experienced a medical miracle when their 4-year-old son’s heart restarted on its own after stopping for 19 hours.
Cartier McDaniel was on life support at Children’s Hospital Colorado, with doctors informing his parents that his body couldn’t function much longer without a heartbeat. All attempts to revive his heart had failed. Then, unexpectedly, Cartier’s heart began beating again.
“It was the worst moment of my life,” said his mother, Destiny Anderson.
Doctors told the family they had no medical explanation for the miraculous recovery. Cartier’s father, Dominique McDaniel, attributes it to divine intervention: “It was God.”
Cartier’s health scare began with a fever that worsened quickly, leading to difficulty breathing and other alarming symptoms.
