The Cleveland Browns enter the 2024 NFL Draft Thursday night with six picks over the three-day event, but just two in the top 150.
This draft marks the end of the 2022 Deshaun Watson trade. Of the six picks sent to Houston, the final two are this year’s first- and fourth-round selections. The Browns will start this draft at No. 54 in the second round. They also hold No. 85 in the third round.
In the previous two drafts, general manager Andrew Berry has traded out of the second round and started in the third. The Browns are positioned to draft for the future, and Berry hasn’t ruled out another trade to acquire more picks either later on the second day or early on the draft’s final day. Though Cleveland is expected to add to both lines of scrimmage and its wide receiver group, Berry’s options seem mostly open.
